Credits, not a recurring hosting discount
| Code / offer | Observed benefit and limits | Official source | Reviewed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Automatic first-team signup credit | $5 automatically applied when creating your first team; no code required. Expires 90 days after signup, applies except to SaaS Add-Ons, and cannot be transferred between teams. | Official source | |
| Promotion restrictions | Eligible-service and offer-specific terms apply. Credits are non-transferable, non-refundable and not cash; stacking requires authorization. Usage exceeding available credit is billed. | Official source | |
| Startup-program benefits | Approved startup applicants may receive credits and program perks. Prior DigitalOcean startup credits and service-based businesses affect eligibility; an award is not a general public coupon. | Official source | |
| After credits / ongoing billing | Billing is based on resource usage, with monthly invoices and possible mid-month threshold charges. Signup credit is not a permanent discount or renewal-price lock. | Official source | |
| Refund policy | Official support states that refunds are not offered; contact support for extenuating circumstances. A request is not a promise of approval. | Official source |
DigitalOcean promo code and renewal questions belong here
Coupon code and promo code refer to this same brand guide. Once credits expire or are consumed, chargeable resource usage continues under the billing rules; no recurring renewal coupon was verified. Official renewal evidence, checked 2026-10-13.
How to use the official offer
Use the official signup-credit instructions, then inspect the balance and resource charges in your control panel. Do not substitute an old referral offer or an AI-product-only balance for this first-team credit.
Unconfirmed: your account eligibility, successful redemption, remaining availability, applicable taxes and final charge. This dated snapshot is not re-verified merely because the site rebuilds.
